Eleven Chamber Chapters offer Convenience & Local Action
While the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce has a regional footprint expanding through counties including Mercer, Monmouth, Burlington, Ocean, Hunterdon, and parts of Bucks County PA, we offer a more localized way to be involved through our 11 local chapters. Small and large businesses alike benefit from the strong and growing network of local chapters. They provide members with localized networking opportunities while promoting economic growth and sustainability. Our Chapters also function as a “watchdog’ for issues that adversely affect business in that particular area. As a MIDJersey Chamber member, you intrinsically are a member of all chapters. Monthly rotating breakfast clubs and evening quarterly events are only a couple of the events hosted in each Chapter locale.
This Chapter hosts an “Annual State of East Windsor Township Address” presented by Mayor Janice Mironov. There are other networking events throughout the year for the purpose of keeping the economic climate in East Windsor vibrant, and for the business community to build relationships and foster economic growth.
Local businesses get together several times a year to promote local business opportunities, build business relationships and support redevelopment initiatives. This Chapter also serves the West Trenton community and hosts a “Meet the Mayor” luncheon with longtime Mayor Bert Steinmann.
The largest municipality in Mercer County and the seventh largest in the State of New Jersey, the Hamilton Chapter hosts programs of interest to the business community throughout the year over lunch, to promote economic growth and vitality. Hamilton is included in our new Economic Insight Series offering a panel giving a perspective of economic growth and redevelopment and reason to live and do business in the town. This Chapter also supports the efforts of the Hamilton Partnership and the Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission. In February, the Chamber hosts the State of Hamilton Township Address with Mayor Kelly Yaede, the first female Mayor in the Township’s history.
The Hopewell Valley Chapter plans an annual Mayors forum and hosts several smaller networking gatherings throughout the year. Each year, the Hopewell Chapter awards a scholarship to a local high school student who displays a strong work ethic and has a gifted ability.
Four towns coming together through the Chamber’s “GRO” Chapter to meet other businesses in these communities, to “GRO” this business community, build relationships and to strengthen this region economically. This Chapter hosts three networking breakfasts and two luncheons per year, including a “Meet the Mayors” program with Princeton and West Windsor. Towns represented include: Princeton, Plainsboro, West Windsor, and South Brunswick, along with neighboring municipalities. This is the Chamber’s most expansive chapter, covering the largest share of territory.
Businesses and organizations located in Burlington County are inclusive in our mid-Jersey region. The Township of Bordentown, Bordentown City, Fieldsboro, Crosswicks, Chesterfield and municipalities along Route 206 and Route 130 encompass the Burlington North Chapter. Networking breakfasts and evening events are held periodically throughout the year along with special events like the Annual Burlington Economic Insight Series and Mayoral luncheon. It is a rapidly expanding chapter with new business relationship opportunities.
The Lawrence Chapter provides a forum for the open exchange of ideas in order to foster the growth of business relationships within the Township of Lawrence and beyond. This Chapter meets several times during the year with various networking and a “Meet the Mayor” event planned for the Spring.
Located on Route 130 and Route 33, Robbinsville is in the center of economic growth offering plenty of residential, retail, commercial and industry warehouse space. The Robbinsville Chapter offers localized networking and community involvement. Networking breakfasts and evening events are scheduled throughout the year, including Mayor Dave Fried’s Awards Gala.
This chapter brings six towns together to meet other businesses in these communities. The Route 130 North Chapter includes the towns of Cranbury, Jamesburg, Monroe, Allentown, Hightstown and Dayton. Networking events are held throughout the year in order to foster the growth of business relationships and discuss strategic collaboration.
This Chapter holds events which are informal, bringing together members of the local business community and beyond, to build business relationships, and to foster economic growth and redevelopment in the Capital City. This chapter serves a principal role in the Annual Trenton Business Week including the Mayor’s Luncheon and Central NJ Fall Expo, along with other educational seminars and workshops.
These areas are the newest Chapters to form. Events and activities have been planned in these areas. The formation of these two Chapters corresponds with the Chamber’s extended reach and breadth. These areas have contributed to the new identity and rebrand of the MIDJersey Chamber. We are currently accepting applications or nominations for (co)chairs to lead these respective Chapters.
If you’d like to join any of these localized chapters or to obtain co-chair contact information, please visit the Chamber website at http://midjerseychamber.org/membership/ chapters/. A Chamber membership is required to participate in Chapters.
