Kids Ink Child Care celebrates 20 years of service

- Advertorial

1676 North Olden Ave. Ewing, NJ 08638 609-771-6040 609-538-0033 EwingKidsInk@msn.com Kids Ink was established in 2006 and opened its doors in March of 1997. They have grown from a small school licensed for 30 children to a center that is now licensed for 275 children, ages 0 to 13 years. With more than 80 children on a waiting list, Kids Ink is the most soughtafter school in the Ewing area. The school is endeavoring to expand over the next year to be able to accommodate all the families who need quality care.

The owner and on site Executive Director Kimberly StoutFigueroa has dedicated the last 20 years to establishing a childcare facility that has a great curriculum, caring and dedicated staff, and ensures parents the peace of mind they need when dropping their children off on a daily basis. That little hand-print on the Kids Ink logo belongs to Kim’s oldest son, Gene, who is now 25.

Kim learned the ins and outs of being self-employed by watching and working for the family business since the age of 4. She was taught from a young age by her father, who owned Stout’s Auction Service. In the Fall of 2015 two tragic events hit the Stout-Figueroa family at the same time. For the first time in 20 years Kim had to take her first full absence from her business.

She stated that she always knew she had a wonderful and dedicated staff, but the ability to run the business was left to her eight-year assistant, Janet Self. “I had no doubt that Janet would be able to step up and handle things. She can finish a sentence for me and she knows exactly what I would do or say in any emergency,” Kim stated. She has proven to be more than just an employee. She is one of the most honest, caring and responsible people I know.

Janet added that, “Kids Ink is a place any child can call a second home. I am honored to have the privilege of working for such an amazing company. It is wonderful to see all the little different personalities of the children as they continue to grow. Parents can count on us to provide quality care.”

With the help of Renee Kimble, the supervisor of Kids Ink’s Sixth Street site, Renee took over the Trenton Abbott Program in Kim’s absence.

“Renee has grown so much over the last few years at Kids Ink. She stepped up to the plate and, although challenged at times, she never gave up.” Parents, staff and students call me Renee, and vice versa. She looks more like me than any of my three children, Kim chuckled.

Renee stated that, she has learned it’s all about being a role model to the children. Every day is a new day to help them learn new things and reach their full potential. I strive to continue helping our children prepare for their journey in life.”

To celebrate 20 years of service, Kids Ink will be giving away 20 gift cards toward the purchase of a Thanksgiving turkey.
