Trenton

Shooting: The Shooting Response Team is investigat­ing a Friday morning shooting in the 800Block of Greenwood Avenue that occurred around 2:41a.m. The victim told police that he was walking in the area when he heard several shots fired and began to run. It was at that point the 20-year-old realized that he’d been struck in the leg and sat on a curb waiting on officers to arrive. The man was then taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was reportedly in stable condition.

Gun: Police arrested Xavior Giovanni Lucret, 23, of Trenton on Friday morning around 2:16 a.m. in the 200 block of Walnut Avenue after detectives from the Street Crimes Unit observed hi s vehicle double-parked. The detectives then conducted a motor vehicle stop, during which officers observed Lucret attempting to conceal a handgun under his seat Trenton Police Lt. Stephen Varn said. Lucret was then removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest. The gun was also removed from the vehicle and found to be loaded with hollow-point ammunition. Lucret was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of a defaced firearm, suspended license, improper parking and other motor vehicle summonses. Also arrested was his passenger, Roberto D. Alicea, 22, of Delran. Varn said that Alicea was found to be in possession of several baggies of marijuana. Domestic violence: Police arrested 36-year-old Kenyatta Clayborn on simple assault charges following an argument that turned physical inside of an apartment in the 1900block of Riverside Drive early Friday morning, police said. Trenton Police Lt. Stephen Varn said that the 38-year-old male victim sustained a laceration to his shoulder and a cut on his ear from a mug that had broken on the ground during the fight. Varn said that the man was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment. Clayborn was arrested around 3:49 a.m.

Florence

Vehicle break-ins: On February 20at 7:26a.m. police responded to the 1300 block of Maple Avenue on a report of three vehicles that had been broken into. Police learned that the three vehicles were unlocked and someone entered the vehicles overnight and removed miscellane­ous items.

Warrant: Police arrested Cortez Campbell of Florence On February 21, 2017at 7:46 a.m. on East Sixth Street. Police arrested Campbell following a motor vehicle stop where the officer learned he had an outstandin­g warrant for his arrest. He was subsequent­ly taken into custody and transporte­d to police headquarte­rs for post arrest processing. Campbell was released pending his new court date, police said. Obstructio­n: Police arrested Roxana Russom of Roebling at 10:03p.m. on February 21 on Wallace Avenue after an officer attempted to stop Russom’s vehicle on Delaware Avenue. Once stopped, police said that Russom exited her vehicle and started towards the officer who ordered her to get back in her vehicle. Russom refused, and was taken into custody She was taken to police headquarte­rs for post arrest processing. Russom was issued several motor vehicle summonses, charged with obstructio­n and released pending her court date.

Westampton

Pot: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of 2048 Burlington-Mt Holly Road for a motor vehicle violation on February 20at 2:33p.m. Police said that during the stop the officer detected the odor of raw marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle. Police then searched the vehicle and found marijuana inside the car. The officer then arrested Breon Thompson and charged with possession of CDS under 50 grams. He was subsequent­ly released.

More pot: Police said that on February 19at 11:24p.m. officers were conducting a property check at the Motel 6 located at 10Western Drive. During the check police said they observed a man inside a hotel room rolling a cigar containing marijuana. Police the arrested Christophe­r F. Spain for possession of marijuana under 50grams. He was released pending a future court date.
