Michéle Maccarone of Hamilton
Michéle Maccarone, 79, of Hamilton, passed away Tuesday at home.
Born in Calimera, Italy in 1937, Mr. Maccarone moved to the United States in 1966. Michéle, widely known as Michael, owned and operated the Hamilton Coiffures beauty salon in Trenton, NJ since 1973. He was a beloved business owner notable for his jovial disposition and generous nature. He was hardworking and loved being in his shop -- a real local character offering free beverages and lively conversation for his clients and all who dropped by to visit him at his lovely salon.
He would commonly remark: “Every day is a holiday,” which speaks volumes about his ebullient attitude -- he loved life, loved what he did, and was adored by his family, friends, and clients.
Michael Maccarone is survived by his wife Anna (nee Varone); daughter Michele of Manhattan, NY; his daughter Nicole Maccarone, Nicole’s husband Thomas Epler, and his granddaughter, Catherine Epler, all of Hamilton Square, NJ; and dozens of beloved cousins, aunts, and uncles in Italy and New Jersey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 E. State St. Ext., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
