Stec leads Hamilton to fourth victory

HAMILTON » Pitcher David Stec went the distance, while scattering six hits and shutting down Lawrence Post 414, 7-0, as the Hamilton Post 31 baseball team earned its fourth victory in Mercer County American Legion League play Wednesday.

C.J. Pittaro homered and drove in four runs, while Brendan James doubled and knocked in two.

H: CARPENTER CUP OLYMPIC/COLONIAL 6, BURLINGTON 2 PHILADELPH­IA » Northern Burlington’s Will Mesa and Delran’s Matt Fey drove in runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to get the Burlington County Carpenter Cup squad even, 2-2, before Olympic/Colonial pulled away in the final three innings at the Urban Youth Academy Showcase Field in FDR Park.

Delran’s Luke Smith started on the mound for Burlington and limited Olympic/Colonial to one hit over his three shutout innings of work.

LAWRENCE » Paul Woodley had a double, a triple and a run batted in to help Post 26 remain undefeated by stopping Post 414 at Mike Pezzicola Field in Eggerts Crossing Park.

Joe Horton pitched a three-hit shutout to outduel Lawrence’s Danny Brauer.

Jimmy Porcelli knocked in two more of Bordentown’s runs, while Trevor Delcampe went 2-for-3 for Post 414.

EWING 15, PRINCETON 1 PRINCETON » Tristan Ryan went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and four RBIs as Post 314 got its first win by defeating Post 218 at Barbara Smoyer Park.

Jacob Basich knocked in two more runs for Ewing to help Jake Storer get the win on the mound.

Princeton managed just two hits off Storer and reliever Justin Dirk — singles by John Girouard and Aidan Duffy.
