George A. Argust, 81, of Lawrence Township died peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 18 (Father’s Day) with his loving family by his side.

Born in Trenton he was a life long Trenton and Lawrencevi­lle resident. He was a US Army Reserve veteran who served during the Vietnam Era. George took his second retirement in 2016 after 15 years employed with the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of Hamilton, his first retirement was in 2001 after 47 years of service with the Heinemann Electric on the Brunswick Pike. He was a member of the Polish Falcon’s Nest 59. George was an avid area golfer, who enjoyed golfing with his grandson. He also enjoyed watching his grandsons when they played in various sporting events. George was a church usher at the St. Ann’s Sunday 9:30am mass and previously an usher at St. Hedwig’s Church. He was very dedicated to spending quality time with his grandsons Kenny and Kyle.

Son of the late George & Stella Baczewski Argust; brother of the late John Jianguilli and Ronald Argust.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years Dorothy A Midura Argust of Lawrencevi­lle; 2 daughters Debbie A & Husband David Rousseau and Michele A Argust all of Hamilton Square; 2 grandsons Kenny Rousseau and Kyle Rousseau; brother William Argust of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be Thursday Morning at 10:45 am at the Church of St. Ann’s daily chapel (please use rear entrance) at 1253 Lawrencevi­lle Road. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 am in the main Church of St. Ann with Rev. Fr. Girard F. Lynch. O.SS.T. presiding. Internment will be private for family under the direction of Winowicz Funeral Service, Trenton. Calling hours will be Thursday morning from 9:30am to 10:45am in the daily chapel. In lieu of flowers send memorial contributi­ons to St. Jude Children Hospital at 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or American Heart Associatio­n at PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005.
