George Semonik, 91, of Ewing passed away at his home on Monday June 19, 2017.

Son of the late John & Mary Bac Semonik; hushand of the late Lillian Wszolek Semonik; father of the late Thomas G Semonik; brother of the late John & Joseph Semonik and Ann Kurst.

Surviving is his son James S. & Maureen Semonik of Yardville; 2 granddaugh­ters Laura & Alan Amato of Marlton NJ and Sara & Marc Cottrell of Hamilton; 3 grandsons Thomas J & Kristine Semonik of Browns Mills, Brian & Bridget Semonik of Greenwood, IN and Richard Semonik of Ewing; 10 great grandchild­ren Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Anthony, Dominik, Carson, Jack & Kyle, Shayne, Alan and Evan; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Born in Thomaston, Connecticu­t and raised in Hamilton Township, he spent most of his life in Ewing. US Navy veteran served during post WWII era. George retired in 2006 after 15 years of service with A.D.P of Jamesburg, N.J and previously was employed with Standard Roofing of Trenton where he retired in 1989 after 15 years of service. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan. Most importantl­y he was a loving grandfathe­r, great-grandfathe­r and best all around dad.

The funeral will be held Friday morning June 23 at 10: 00am from the WINOWICZ FUNERAL CHAPEL 865 Brunswick Avenue. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday at 10:30am in the St. Hedwig’s Church with Rev. Dr. Fr. Jacek Labinski presiding. Burial will be private for the family in St. Mary’s Cemetery Hamilton Township. Calling hours will be Friday morning from 9:00am to 10:00am (time of service) at the funeral chapel. in lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to UMDF 8085 Salisbury Road, Suite 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15239 or JDRF at 800-5332873 or JDRF.org
