TRENTON

Domestic Violence Arrest: Shanique Sheria Jackson, 25, of Trenton, was arrested Thursday morning on simple assault domestic violence charges. She is accused of striking a 20-year-old female with the backside of her hand, causing injury to the victim’s lip. Police received a call around 8:35a.m. Thursday reporting a domestic violence incident in progress on the 600block of Southard Street. The victim and Jackson, who live together on Southard Street, got into a verbal argument that turned physical. When police arrived on scene, they saw Jackson outside, but she allegedly ran inside the residence and away from the officers. She was eventually taken into police

custody after a brief struggle. Police charged her with simple assault domestic violence and resisting arrest.

More Alleged Domestic

Violence: Tevin Laster, 23, of Trenton, was arrested Thursday afternoon on the 500block of Lamberton Street on active warrants, one for a failure to appear in court and the other for a simple assault domestic violence. In the simple assault case, Laster allegedly placed

his hands around his then-girlfriend’s neck about 5p.m. Feb. 13on the 400block of Cleveland Avenue. He is accused of squeezing the victim’s throat, slamming her to the ground and biting her finger. The victim, a 40-year-old woman, refused medical attention at the time, but police gained probable cause to authorize a warrant for Laster’s arrest on simple assault domestic violence charges. Drug Arrest: Wilbur Hill III, 38, of Trenton, was arrested Thursday night on drug charges. Trenton Street Crime Unit Detectives Jonathan Cincilla, Brieer Doggett and Jorge Mejia observed acting suspicious­ly about 10:55p.m. at the corner of Bryn Mawr Avenue and Volk Street. Hill was using a cellphone to examine an object and then put the object in his pocket when he saw the police. The officers investigat­ed and found Hill in alleged possession of 25oxycodon­e pills and $335 in currency. Another Drug Bust: Tamir M. Hodges, 26, of Trenton, was arrested Thursday on drug charges. Trenton Street Crime Unit Detectives Jonathan Cincilla and Jeffrey Donaire saw Hodges about 4:20p.m. on the 200block of East Hanover Street stuff an object in his pants. The officers investigat­ed and found Hodges in alleged possession of 24grams of marijuana.

FLORENCE

Alleged DUI Crash: Robert Hartman of Florence was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and related offenses following a motor vehicle accident. Florence Police about 3:15a.m. June 17were dispatched to West Front Street near the Burlington Township boundary for a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, the officers observed a vehicle on its side near a utility pole. The officers checked the vehicle for occupants and found the vehicle to be unoccupied. The police investigat­ion found that the driver had exited his vehicle and walked to his residence on West Third Street. The driver, identified as Hartman, was then taken into custody and transporte­d to Florence Police headquarte­rs for processing. Upon completion of processing, Hartman was charged with DUI, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug parapherna­lia, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle collision and several additional motor vehicle summonses. Hindering Apprehensi­on: Emmanuel Williams of Hamilton was arrested on charges he lied to the cops. The incident began about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, when Florence Police were dispatched to a local Valero gas station for a suspicious person on location. During the police investigat­ion, the suspicious person, identified as Williams, allegedly provided officers with a false name because he had warrants for his arrest. Officers then took Williams into custody and transporte­d him to Florence Police headquarte­rs. Williams was charged with hindering apprehensi­on and was turned over to the Hamilton Township Police Department in Mercer County pending his court dates.
