Juanita Rivera, 89, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 4, 2017, at home, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Rio Piedra, Puerto Rico, Juanita was a lifelong Trenton resident.

She was a homemaker, and was a laborer for Aberdeen Sportswear in Hamilton, retiring after 6 years of service.

Daughter of the late Eladio Sandoval and Mercedes Torres, mother of the late Arturo Martinez Sandoval, and Francisco “Frankie” Rivera, Jr., and sister of the late Francisca Sandoval, she is survived by her loving husband, Francisco Rivera; son and daughter-in-law, Juan and Elizabeth Rivera; daughter, Juanita Marin and her companion, Benny Barrientos; four grandchild­ren Alfredo Marin Jr; Angele Benitez; Juan Rivera Jr; Ashley Marie Rivera; seven great grandchild­ren, Veronica Marin; Alyssa Mercedes Marin; Noah Marin; Noemie Leana Espada; Avery Barnhart; Josean A. Vargas; David Bisono and nieces Mercedita Villafañe; Maria Martir and dear friends Gloria Ortiz and late Leonnor “Leo” Melendez.

Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 6 – 9 PM at the Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel 1799 Klockner Road, Hamilton Township, NJ.

Funeral will be held on Saturday morning at 8:00 AM at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral Church, 151 North Warren Street, Trenton, NJ 08608.

Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cedar Lane Hamilton Township, NJ.
