Deacon Willie James Bell of Trenton, NJ age

77 passed away September 9, 2017 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Sandersvil­le, GA.

He was educated in the Sandersvil­le, GA Public School System.

He was employed by R&B Hall Constructi­on, Ewing, NJ and retired after 35 years of service.

Deacon Bell was a member of Dixon Grove Church of God in Christ, Tenville, Georgia, Corinth Baptist, Ewing, NJ, Living Bread Ministry, Ewing, NJ, and New Life Community Deliveranc­e Church, Willingbor­o, NJ.

Deacon Bell was predecease­d in death by his parents, Ruth Thelma Hodges and Manson Bell, his son, Donald Rodan, his three brothers, Pete Bell, Jody Bell, and Thomas Bell.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Deaconess Phyllis D. Shorts-Bell, three daughters, Rita Rowell (Rob), Lisa Elaine Wheeler (Jeff), and Terrance Little, five sons, Ronald Rodan (Jennifer), Terrence Bell, Willie James Jr. (Regina), Bruce Anthony Bell and Derrick Bell, also father to 19 loving children, three brothers, Gary, Marvin, and Tyrone Brown, one sister, Joanne Brown, three sister-in-law’s, Evangelist Katherine Jefferson (Alfonso), Brenda Turner, and Meltine Cooper, two brother-in-law’s, Pastor David Allen and Irving Turner, four, uncles, Ernest, Samuel, Tom Gibson, and Martell Hodges, two aunts, Rosie Williams and Christine Hodges, and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.

Funeral service will be 1pm Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Grace Community Church, 700 West State St., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 11am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be 10:30 Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newton, PA. Arrangemen­ts are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
