PROGNOSTICATOR BACKING NOTTINGHAM AND LAWRENCE

-

Our high school football prognosticator had their worst showing of the year last week with a .757 correct percentage.

Once again the problem was with the private schools. Of this year’s 17 incorrect picks, six of them have involved the four Mercer County prep teams, meaning the record for public and parochial school games is a stellar 71-11. This weekend’s projected winners in Mercer County include Nottingham and Lawrence.

FRIDAY ALLENTOWN at Northern Burlington: Redbird principal ejects NBC cheerleaders after they enter the field through the wrong gate. HAMILTON at West Windsor South: Hornet assistant Ken Nehila is chastised for tweeting updates to Hamilton sports website during the game.

NOTRE DAME at Hopewell Valley: It’s time for Irish to induct legendary softball coach Artie Kearns into their Hall of Fame. All he did was win state championships. Trenton at RANCOCAS VALLEY: See Iverson run. BORDENTOWN at Robbinsville: Scotties get even for losses to Robbinsville in softball.

BURLINGTON CITY at Maple Shade: Burl football is back.

LENAPE at Burlington Township: Remember when Lenape was mostly known for just wrestling.

Delran at WILLINGBORO: You can get some really good housing deals in Willingboro. HOLY CROSS at Cinnaminson: Pay no attention to Lancer score last week. PALMYRA at New Egypt: What Pals did last Friday was impressive.

Riverside at PLEASANTVILLE: Toby McGuire plays a great quarterback. MORRISVILLE at Perryville: Dawgies win! Dawgies win! CONWELL-Egan at Schuykill Valley: Eagles’ trip to the sticks just what is needed.

BRISTOL at Academy of Palumbo: Philly team’s earlier showing in Trenton wasn’t pretty.

SATURDAY Ewing at NOTTINGHAM: Game becomes secondary to argument between Ewing’s Dan “The Man” Bernoski and Nottingham assistant John Berei over who caught more fish this summer. LAWRENCE at Hightstown: Was great to see Hightstown’s greatest athlete Jack Bowker inducted into the Trenton Softball Hall of Fame.

Pemberton at STEINERT: Spartans coach Dan Caruso insists on returning to the garden despite allergies clearing up after flower-free week.

Council Rock North at PENNSBURY: You know things are thriving in Fairless Hills when Puss N Boots springs for a couple of new bar stools.

Truman at NESHAMINY: Can you imagine what Truman coaches could do if they had Neshaminy’s talent. Central Bucks West at BENSALEM: Things are blooming in Death Valley. ABINGTON at Council Rock South: Ghosts will be back to full strength.

Capital Preparatory School at HUN: Visitors will wish Route 206 was closed in both directions.

Pingry at PENNINGTON: Bad news, Red Raiders. Every pick so far this year about you has been wrong. Lawrenceville at CHOATE: Good news, Big Red. See above.

St. Joseph (Canada) at PEDDIE: This isn’t ice hockey.

Last Week: (25-8) .757 Season: (77-17) .819
