Trenton

Shooting: A man suffered multiple gunshot wounds Thursday night, but he is expected to survive his injuries. Officials say the man was in the 800block of East State Street around 9p.m. when gunshots rang out. The victim was taken to the hospital before police arrived on scene and rushed into emergency surgery. Police say he suffered numerous gunshot wounds to his body. Anyone with informatio­n about the shooting is asked to call cops at 609989-4155.

Driving High: Steffen Rookstool, 31, was arrested Thursday after he crashed his vehicle on Passaic Street and tried to flee the scene. Officials say a cop saw the crash, then chased Rookstool as he drove away. During the subsequent motor vehicle stop, officials say, Rookstool appeared to be high on drugs. Police say he was sweating, rocking back and forth, and that his pupils were dilated. During the investigat­ion, police found a hypodermic needle in the car. Cops at the scene called paramedics to take Rookstool to the hospital for treatment.

Domestic Violence: Justin Thomas, 22, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted the mother of his child and ransacked her home. The victim told police Thomas knocked on the rear door of her Prospect Village home around 8:15p.m. Thursday, and that she opened the door because she didn’t know it was him. When she realized it was Thomas, the woman said, she tried to shut the door, but he forced it open, knocking her onto a kitchen table. Thomas then ransacked the property, according to the victim who said he also choked her when she told him to leave her property. While Thomas was choking her, the victim’s friends intervened and forced him out of the house. Cops later issued warrants for his arrest, and Thomas was apprehende­d early Friday morning. He is charged with burglary and simple assault. Drunken Assault: Rashay Mitchell, 29, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a drunken rage. The victim told police Mitchell arrived home drunk and started a verbal argument with her that escalated when he suddenly choked her and punched her in the face. During the fight, officials say, the woman’s 11-year-old son jumped on Mitchell’s back to prevent him from hurting his mother. But Mitchell pushed the kid onto the ground. The woman then hit Mitchell with an object, and he retaliated by punching her in the body. The victim managed to push Mitchell out of the house, police say, but he returned about an hour later. When Mitchell returned to the home, the victim called cops, who arrived and found him knocking on the front door. Police say Mitchell wobbled and stumbled when he walked, indicating that he was highly intoxicate­d. Mitchell is charged with assault and endangerin­g the welfare of a child.

Robbinsvil­le

DWI: Grezegorz Kuczynski, 29, of Yardville, was recently arrested after police allegedly found him driving while intoxicate­d on Route 130. He is also charged with resisting arrest, hindering apprehensi­on, reckless driving and suspended driver.

Winslow

Heroin and Crack: Tyrone Fair, 26, of West Deptford, was arrested after police allegedly found him in possession of heroin, marijuana and crack cocaine during a traffic stop. Fair was a passenger in the vehicle, according to police who say he also had digital scales, drug packaging materials and manufactur­ing equipment inside a backpack. Fair was also wanted in connection with robbery warrants.

Bristol, Pa.

Pot Bust: David Reinhardt, 34, and Morghan Hislop, 29, both from Fairless Hills, was arrested after police allegedly found them in possession of marijuana and drug parapherna­lia during a traffic stop.

Theft: An Emerson tablet and a wallet were stolen out of a property located in the 6200 block of Bristol Pike. The loss is estimated at $140.
