Teacher benefits

I heard that teachers in New Jersey once they retire, do not have to pay a penny towards medical benefits. Is that absurd or what? That’s the highest expense I have is my medical when I’m retired. Way to go, Mr. Sweeney, stay in office to fight this teachers union.

The retirement benefits are complicated. I don’t understand them totally, but looking around for info online, it looks like some get the coverage for free, others pay into it, depending on length of service and when they reached those milestones. — Ed Note
