Children’s Chorus receives $10K donation
TRENTON » The Trenton Children’s Chorus received a contribution of $10,000 from the Church & Dwight Employee Giving Fund to provide music education, performance opportunities, and transportation for Trenton area children.
“I am impressed with this organization because, while their name implies they are simply a chorus, they are involved with the children much more holistically than the name implies,” Church & Dwight employee Angela Olsen said in a written statement.
Church & Dwight has been a supporter of TCC’s mission to empower the academic, social, and spiritual lives of children through artistry in music since 2008. Funding will help support ongoing programs and services, as well as new ones, including TCC’s new Learning Lab for students who need a quieter place to do homework, an Open Drum studio with a more organized schedule for rhythmic drumming instruction, a music appreciation program for preschoolers at the Young Scholars Institute, and establishment of satellite choirs in Trenton schools that lack vocal training.
