Rose Nancy Pignataro Genovesi, 86 peacefully passed away on January 13, 2018, with her loving family by her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Rose spent her childhood years in Hackensack, NJ where she graduated from Hackensack High School.

After graduation she was employed by Metropolit­an Life Insurance Company in New York City.

Rose was married in 1952 to her loving husband of 65 years, Benny and lived out her life in Lawrencevi­lle and Ewing Townships.

Rose attended Rider University and majored in Business. She worked for H&R Block preparing tax returns. She also was employed by her husband’s business, Benny Genovesi and Son, Inc. where she held the title of Vice President handling all financial aspects of the business for fifty years. In addition to working, Rose enjoyed cooking traditiona­l Italian dishes, reading, cruising and traveling the world with her family. Her and her husband spent the winter months in their Dania Beach, FL home for 35 years where she loved the sun and warmer weather. Most importantl­y, Rose treasured her time with her family and always put their needs first. She loved her grandchild­ren and enjoyed going to their various school activities and sporting events as well as cooking their favorite meals.

She is predecease­d by her parents Dominico and Margaret Ambrosio Pignataro and brother and sister-in-law John and Patricia Pignataro.

She is survived by her husband Benny Genovesi, son Anthony Genovesi and his wife Ellen; her daughter Margaret Bauer and husband Tyrone; her four grandchild­ren Paul and Lori Genovesi and Carl and Rose Bauer; sister and brother-in-law Felicia and Ken Monaco, as well as numerous multigener­ational nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from the Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel, 1799 Klockner Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnatio­n, 1545 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ . Entombment will follow in Saint Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton.

Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel, Hamilton.
