This is the weekend Myles Mitchell-White had circled on the calendar from the moment he arrived at Montclair State.

It’s on Saturday that the former Lawrence High star returns to Mercer County as the Red Hawks (16-7, 10-6 NJAC) face The College of New Jersey (17-6, 12-4 NJAC).

Surely, there will be plenty of family and friends cheering on Mitchell-White, but this game is much more than a homecoming. It’s a crucial game in the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoff chase.

Mitchell-White is definitely going to be a problem for the Lions as this week he earned his eighth NJAC Rookie of the Week honor, and with just two games left he is the leading freshman in scoring and rebounding.

He is coming off a pair of games where he averaged 20.0 points a game and 4.5 assists as Montclair State went 1-1 last week.

TCNJ won at Montclair State, and Mitchell-White would love to make it a perfect homecoming.
