Peterson reaches 1,000 points in Ewing’s win

EWING » Kiyla Peterson had quite the night for the Ewing High girls basketball team.

The senior point guard scored 26 points to not only lead the Blue Devils to a 92-51 win over West Windsor-Plainsboro High South, but also to reach 1,000 points on her career.

Peterson became the second member of coach Mike Reynolds’ team to achieve that mile- stone this season. Senior forward Mya Grimes, who had 16 points Friday, surpassed 1,000 in the first game of the season.

Jaycee Lowe and Jentle Sheridan added 12 and 10 points, respective­ly, for the Blue Devils.

Anvi Agarwal paced WW-P South with 23 points, while Lasyasree Tenneti provided 14 points for the Pirates.
