Robert J. Brelsford, 78, of Crosswicks, passed away Thursday, February

22, 2018, at Samaritan Hospice at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly.

Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. Robert was a Graduate of Trenton Catholic High School and was a US Air Force Veteran. He was retired, after many years, from the County of Mercer Purchasing Department and, prior to that, had been a purchasing agent for several other companies. He was a longtime member and usher at the Church of St. Anthony, Hamilton, and a former member of the 655 Men’s Club, Trenton. Robert was an avid golfer, and enjoyed reading, gardening, trips to Atlantic City and spending time with his children and grandchild­ren.

Son of the late Hilbert “Buck” and Cecelia Brelsford, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janice Wood Brelsford, his daughters and sonsin-law Patricia and Victor Kovalev and Mary and Jeffrey Mayer, his grandchild­ren and “4 chambers of his heart”, Alex and Kara Kovalev and Rachel and Justin Mayer, several cousins and a large extended family.

Funeral services will begin Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 10:15 AM at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton (Kingstonan­dKemp.com). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at the Church of St. Anthony, 626 S. Olden Ave., Hamilton.

Private interment will be at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstow­n.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM and on Thursday from 9 to 10:15 AM at the funeral home.

Due to cemetery restrictio­ns on flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made in Robert’s honor to Samaritan
