John Finley Glenn, Jr., 52, of Lawrencevi­lle, departed this life on February 20, 2018 at home.

Born in Little Rock, AR, John received his early education there before moving to New Jersey at the age of 13. He graduated from Lawrence High School. John worked at Central Paper Company in Ewing for 8 years before joining the Lawrence Township Police Department. During his time as a Police Officer, John was a member of the SWAT Team and the community policing team, and a pistol expert. He was a dedicated officer who retired after 19 years and 8 months of service.

John was a member of Change Church in Ewing, NJ.

Predecease­d by his parents, John Finley and Lillie Beatrice Glenn and two sisters, Faustine Wamble and Vivian Phillips.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Lynette C. Glenn; two beautiful daughters, Gabrielle N. Glenn and Allyiah N. Glenn; three brothers, Ellis Phillips (Ira), Thomas Phillips, and David Glenn (Kati); three sisters, Gloria Nelson, Shirley Phillips, and Carolyn Connor (Danny); one aunt, Viola Binns; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00 am at Change Church, 200 Ludlow Dr., Ewing, NJ.

Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, 9 to 11 am at the church.

Arrangemen­ts are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
