Princeton bows out against Marlboro

MARLBORO » Even the best defense of the 12th-seeded Princeton High girls basketball team was not enough to stop fourth-seeded Marlboro Thursday as the Mustangs defeated the Tigers, 60-41, in NJSIAA Central Jersey Group IV action.

Erin Devine tried to keep coach Dave Kosa’s team alive by scoring a team-high 12 points.

But Marlboro got 22 points, including four 3-point field goals, from Jessica Broad and 13 more points from Gisella Romeo to knock Princeton out of the state tournament.
