Cleve Cook of Trenton

Cleve “Cookie” Cook of Trenton, NJ, age 59, passed away on

April 10, 2018 at home.

Cleve was born and raised in Trenton, NJ.

He was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, class of 1976 and soon after relocated to Detroit, MI where he resided for many years.

He was a retired employee of MGM Resort and Casino. After retiring, Cleve then rejoined his family back in Trenton, NJ.

Cleve was the son of the late Reverend C.T. Cook and Sister Ethel Cook.

He is survived by his wife, Lola Cook, two daughters, April and Sophia, his siblings, Theodore Cook, Howard and Kathy Cook, Rev. Gary and Charlene Cook, Helen Cook, Lawanda Wilkin (Skyes), Mel and Char Weldon, Marie and Gene Hodges, Johnice Thomas, Gary and Kim Lovett, Caleb and Pat Lovett, his aunts, Caroline Brown (Henry), and Mrydle Kinloch, and host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Calling hours will be 6-8pm Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ. Funeral service will be 11am Monday, April 23, 2018 at Union Baptist Church, 301 Pennington Ave., Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lola Cook, 36 N. Eastfield Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618.
