John R. Williams III of Hamilton Township, NJ was called to join our Lord in Paradise on April 7, 2018 in Pemberton, NJ.

John was affectiona­tely called “Fame” by his family members, friends, and teammates. He was born on June 21, 1987 in Trenton, New Jersey to Lesha A. McCoyWilli­ams and John R. Williams Jr. He was a resident of Mercer and Essex County; he has lived in Trenton, Ewing, Hamilton Township, and Orange NJ. John received private education and he took gymnastics classes in Essex County. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and The Boys and Girls Club in Trenton NJ.

John was educated in the Ewing Elementary Public School system. He attended Ewing High School and McCorristi­n High School. John continued to further his education by attending Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, New Jersey; Metropolit­an Institute of Technology; and Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas, where he earned a Liberal Arts degree. John was previously employed by Capital Health Medical Center, Hopewell Campus. At the time of his passing he was employed by Rago Arts and Auction Center in Lambertvil­le, NJ. John played semi-profession­al football in the Profession­al Indoor Football League.

John was preceded in death by his grandmothe­r, Mary Seay; grandfathe­rs, John R. Williams Sr. and Leroy McCoy Sr.; and sister Tiffany R. Williams. John’s memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his loving mother, Lesha A. McCoy-Williams; father, John R. Williams Jr.; grandmothe­r, Mayzell Williams; great-grandmothe­r, Cleo Blackshear-Seay; uncles, Leroy McCoy Jr., Keith McCoy, and Rodney (Carmelita) Mayes; aunt, Rosalind (Michael) Laster and Keely Webb ; four great uncles, David Sherman, Ernest Seay, Clifford (Vanessa) Seay, and Frederick (Jermaine) Seay; six great aunts, Willene (Charles) Dixon, Barbara Rogers, Cathy Seay, Amanda (Kevin) Billups, Rose Seay, and Yvonne (Gregory) Seay-Addye. He truly will be missed by his cousins Taura McCoy, Michael Laster Jr, Janae Boisseau, Frederick ”Lamar” Seay Jr., Bobby Langley III, and Michael Cooper and a host of other relatives, coworkers, teammates and friends.

Funeral service will be 12pm Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Shiloh Baptist Church 340 Rev. S. Howard Woodson Way Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 10am until time of service at the church. Interment will be private. Arrangemen­ts are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
