Maple Shade upsets New Egypt in BCSL tourney

The Maple Shade softball team beat New Egypt, 8-3, Thursday in the Burlington County Scholastic League Tournament.

With the victory, Maple Shade advanced to play at Bordentown on Friday afternoon in a quarterfinal round game.

In other BCSL Tourney results from Thursday, Cinnaminson beat Westampton Tech, 7-4, Burlington City downed Trenton Catholic, 17-1, and Riverside nipped Palmyra, 5-4.

Cinnaminson will play Rancoas Valley, Burlington City will take on Delran and Riverside will face Burlington Township in the next round.

The winner of the CityDelran game will face Moorestown. And the winner of that game will take on Northern Burlington. Maple Shade 300 041 0 — 8 9 1
