Robbinsville earns top seed for county tournament
The seeding is in for the Mercer County Softball Tournament, and it came out exactly as projected in The Trentonian last week.
Defending champion and undefeated Robbinsville has earned the top seed, followed by West Windsor North, Steinert and West Windsor South in the next three spots.
There are 14 teams in the tournament this year with all the Colonial Valley Conference teams entered. The seeding was determined strictly by win percentage.

The tournament will then swing to Armstrong Park with all the remaining games to be played in Ewing.
There will be four quarterfinal round games on Thursday at Armstrong Park, beginning at 4 p.m.
The semifinals are set for Monday at 7 p.m. and the championship game will be played a week from Wednesday, also at 7 o’clock.
All first-round losers are guaranteed one game in the consolation bracket.
