No Phone in Court: Amber Warner, 23, was arrested Wednesday after arguing with a judge in municipal court who told her to put away her phone. It’s unclear whether Warner was there for a matter before the judge or accompanying someone else. But police say she was told to leave the courtroom after arguing with a judge about cellphone use in court. When Warner refused to leave, officials say, she was arrested for contempt of court. Officials say Warner also refused to be placed in handcuffs, sparking a struggle with a cop in court. Police say the struggle continued into the hall even after Warner was handcuffed, and that she spit in an officer’s face during the ordeal. Warner was charged with contempt of court, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, obstructing the administration of law and throwing bodily fluid on police.
Shoplifting While High: Doni Simmers, 33, was arrested after she allegedly stole a pair of pants from a store in the 100 block of East State Street. Store employees told police Simmers went into a dressing room with three pairs of pants but exited with only two. Officials say Simmers was running from employees when cops arrived on scene. After her apprehension, police found a pair of pants in her purse along with three Xanax pills, six hypodermic needles and two crack pipes. She was charged with shoplifting, resisting arrest and drug offenses. Drug Bust: Kahlil Sulu, 37, was arrested after police interrupted an alleged drug deal in the 200 block of Spring Street. Police say Sulu was sitting inside a vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant dealing drugs to an unknown person who quickly walked away when they saw cops coming. When they searched the car, cops found marijuana and a digital scale. Police also towed the car Sulu was driving.
Stolen Fiat: Alterrick Harrell, 32, was arrested after police found him driving a 2017 Fiat that was previously reported stolen.
High at 7-Eleven: Patricia Argueta, 21, of Hamilton, was arrested after cops found marijuana inside a car she was driving. Officials say police encountered Argueta in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store after noticing that her brake light was inoperable.
Driving Stoned: Matthew Musial, 37, of New Brunswick, was arrested following a car crash on Route 130. During the investigation, officials say, police found marijuana inside his car. Musial was charged with careless driving and pot possession.
DUI Hit and Run: Elmer Sandoval, 26, was arrested following a drunken hit-andrun crash at a gas station on Lake Drive. Police found Sandoval in a parking lot on Avon Drive, where he gave cops a fake name during the investigation.
Parked with Pot: Eric Ochoa, 24, was arrested for marijuana possession after cops found him sitting inside a parked vehicle at the Princeton Arms apartment complex.
Assault: Thomas H. Eckert Jr., 40, was arrested following an assault that happened in the 2900 block of Bristol Road. Police say Eckert violated a previously issued protection from abuse order, so he was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
