Gun in Glove: Thomas Brown, 39, Kimmesha Moore, 25, and Jeremy Carter, 28, were arrested after police allegedly found a loaded handgun in the glove compartment of a car they occupied. Officials say detectives from the Street Crimes Unit stopped a Chevy Trailblazer for traveling at night without headlights. During the motor vehicle stop, cops saw the gun when the driver reached into the glove box for his driving credentials. Police say the gun was equipped with a high-capacity magazine and loaded with hollow-point bullets. All three occupants of the car were charged with weapons offenses.

Stolen Gun Arrest: Jayson Wilson, 19, of Pennsauken, was arrested Sunday after police found a stolen gun in his car during a traffic stop for failure to signal a change of lanes. Officials say Patrol Officers Dean Sawasky and James Gorski were working a proactive unit when they saw the motor vehicle violation, then searched the license plate in a database and learned the driver’s registration was suspended. During the subsequent traffic stop, police allegedly saw a mason jar containing marijuana residue inside the vehicle, prompting a search. Police then found an empty box of .45 caliber ammunition, which prompted the cops to pat down Wilson to see if he was armed. During the pat down, officials say, a .45 caliber ammunition magazine fell out of Wilson’s pants. Further search of the vehicle revealed a handgun stuffed between the seats. Officials say the serial number on the weapon revealed it was stolen out of South Hanover, Pa. on July 30, 2017.“The gun has been out there for a while,” Lt. Joseph Amodio said. Police plan to send the gun to state police for ballistics testing to see if it has been used in local shootings. Wilson is charged with several weapons offenses, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say the magazine Wilson had in his pocket contained five rounds.
