Mercer 33 Select recognizes top players
The Mercer 33 Select Committee is hosting its 25th end-of-year event on Monday, Nov. 12 to honor the top Colonial Valley Conference and Prep School girls soccer players in the county.
The dinner takes place at Mercer Oaks with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the program starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 for anyone and $25 coaches and can be purchased by calling 609-882-8020 or stopping by Ewing Sports at 1445 Lower Ferry Road in Ewing.
The Mercer 33 features 28 CVC players, 12 prep players and two Spirit Award recipients. The spirit awards were started after Diana Roch- ford, a three-time captain and starter at WW-P North, died in an automobile accident on Aug. 25, 2002.
This year’s spirit award winners are Peddie’s Sarah DiLuzio and Robbinsville’s Mackenzie Martin.
The Mercer 33 Coach of the Year will be announced at the event.
