Louise Kay, “Nanny”, 93, of Bordentown, NJ, departed this life on November
13, 2018 surrounded by family.
Born in Carolina County, VA, Laura was educated in the Bordentown Public School System.
After graduating from McFarland High School, she worked as an assembler at General Motors before earning her degree from Philadelphia School of Nursing. Thereafter, Laura worked for 35 years at Walson Army Hospital as a nurse before retiring.
Predeceased by her parents, Tia Kay and Mollie Minor; daughter, JoeAynn Kay; son-in-law, Howard Talifers; five brothers; and three sisters. She leaves to cherish precious memories her two loving daughters and caregivers, Patricia Kay and Sandra Kay-Talifero; two sons, Bishop Hamilton Cole (Larray) and Joe Dennis; one sister, Josephine Gentry; four granddaughters, Leslie Taylor, Dawne Paden (Darion), Terry Simmons (Tim), and Rebecca Poole; three grandsons, Marques Kay (Bianca), William Taylor, Jr., and Shannon Coakley; 12 great-grandchildren; 11 great greatgrandchildren; one sisterin-law, Annie Laura Lee; one brother-in-law, David Cole; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 11 am at Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday, from 9 to 11 am at the chapel. Interment will be in Bordentown Cemetery. Arrangements: Campbell Funeral Chapel.
