Frank Jenkins, 86, of Lawrencevi­lle departed this life on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Capital Health/ Hopewell.

Born in Vernon, FL, “Mr. Frank” migrated from Florida in the 1950’s and made the Trenton area his home. He had a long time career as an autoworker. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in Edison, NJ where he worked in many department­s and was active in the United Auto Worker union. He was predecease­d by his wife of 62 years, Alva Jean in 2016. He was son of the late Asa Jenkins, Sr. and Alma Keturah Jenkins. Frank was the last surviving of his siblings: his brothers Asa Jenkins, Jr., Herbert Jenkins, Major Alvin Jenkins-USAF, Lawrence Jenkins, and his sisters Gladys Small, Josephine Green, Exie Green, Ethel Wheeler, Juanita Gainer, and twin sisters Eliza Russ and Elizabeth Hadley. He was father to daughter Rev. Sandra J. Jenkins, son Carter B. Jenkins, Sr., and grandfathe­r to Tiffany GainesEkwu­eme and her husband Christophe­r Ekwueme and great-grandson Xavier; Rachel Jenkins, Carter B. Jenkins, Jr., great-grandson Chance Thomas, and special sonin-law Joseph B. Gaines. He leaves a host of friends in the bowling community. He was a member of the former Cadwalader-Asbury United Methodist Church and an affiliated member of the Church of The Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Willingbor­o, NJ. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:00AM at The Church of The Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Van Sciver Parkway & 110 Buckingham Dr., Willingbor­o, NJ. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 8:00AM-10:00AM at the church. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday, December 3, 2018. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Church of The Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in memory of “Mr. Frank”.
