Herman J. Selmon, Jr., 76, of Hamilton Township, NJ, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton, NJ.

Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton Township resident.

A US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Selmon was a mason/ bricklayer and affiliated with the Bricklayer­s & Allied Craftworke­rs, Local 5, Bordentown, NJ for over 50 years. He was the owner and operator of Selmon’s BP Service Center on South Broad Street, and owner and operator of Justin’s Rental, both of Hamilton Township, NJ. Herman was an avid Philadelph­ia Phillies and Eagles fan, and owner of Thoroughbr­ed Race Horses.

Predecease­d by his parents, Herman J. and Mildred Barger Selmon, and his brother, Charles Selmon, he is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Madeline (Patricia) Weber Selmon, six sons and daughtersi­n-law, Jerry and Stephanie Selmon, John and Maria Selmon, Jeff Selmon, Joe and Karen (Yoby) Selmon, Jay Selmon, and Justin and Jamie Selmon, his daughter, Jennifer Selmon, his brothers and sisters-inlaw, Chet and Rita Selmon, Pete Selmon, and Richie and Theresa Selmon, his grandchild­ren, Curtis, Lucas, Justin, Jr., and Peyton Selmon, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at 3:30 p.m., at Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel, 1799 Klockner Road, Hamilton Township, NJ. The Clergy of St. Mary’s Church, Bordentown, will officiate.

Cremation will be private.

Calling hours for family and friends will be on Thursday, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel.
