Pennington rallies for 4th straight win

GLASGOW, DEL. >> The Pennington School girls basketball team used a fourth-quarter rally to remain undefeated as it met the tough challenge of Caravel Academy on the road to take a 70-68 win Friday night.

The Red Raiders, who trailed, 54-49, after three quarters were led back by Taylor Blunt’s 19 points, Diamond Christian’s 15 points, Dana Kiefer’s 14 points and Leah Johnson’s 11 points to improve to 4-0.

Sasha Marvel led all scorers with 22 points for Caravel, and her teammate, Kendra Warren was right behind her with 20 points.

Kayla Henry’s seven points were high for Peddie. Ekene Owunna chipped in five points.

PENNSBURY 37, NEW HOPE 23 HORSHAM, PA. >> Kate Mix and Cami Wiegand scored 10 points apiece as the Falcons defeated the Lions at the Hatboro-Horsham Tip-Off Tournament.

Pennsbury plays the Little Flower/Hatboro-Horsham winner Saturday.
