Cureton and Knights run past Spartans

PLAINSBORO >> Isaiah Cureton was the game’s leading scorer and finished with 19 points as the West Windsor-Plainsboro North boys basketball team romped Steinert, 71-50, on Friday night.

The Knights (5-5) had three other scorers reach double figures, including Amore Spence’s 18 points, Marcus Williams’ 15 and Jaden Sands tallied 10.

Nymere Whitaker was the lone Spartan player to hit for double figures and recorded 15 points. ALLENTOWN 51, HAMILTON 48 ALLENTOWN >> The Redbirds (36), who had lost three in a row, picked up their first win in 2019 led by Jack Kudrick and RJ Weise’s 19-point efforts.

Jack Buofford tallied 16 points and Zahir Davis notched 12 for the Hornets (2-6).

EWING 72, PRINCETON 68 PRINCETON >> The Blue Devils (44), who are winners of three consecutiv­e games, were sparked by Caleb Stokes’ 25 points and Craig Wrenn’s 21.

Gefen Bar-Cohen tossed in 19 points, Tim Evidente scored 11 and Jay Jackson added 10 for the Tigers (4-5).

HIGHTSTOWN 63, NOTTINGHAM 56 HIGHTSTOWN >> Both teams came into the game losing their last four straight and it was the Rams (5-6) who used a 16-point halftime lead to propel themselves to victory. The Northstars fell to 3-7.

NOTRE DAME 66, LAWRENCE 37 LAWRENCE >> The Irish (8-2) were paced by Justin Yu, who tallied 16 points, Jason Weber added 13 and Michael Kane totaled 10.

Rayshawn Young pumped in 16 points for the Cardinals (5-4) WW-P SOUTH 51, ROBBINSVIL­LE 47 PRINCETON JCT. >> Luke Burston had a game-high 21 points and Krishi Dattani scored 11 as the Pirates improved to 5-4.

The Ravens (2-6), who have lost six of their last seven games, saw Cory Bork score 18 points. PENNINGTON 51, MORRISTOWN-BEARD 30 PENNINGTON >> The Red Raiders (1-12) got their first victory of the season and brought to halt their losing streak, which had stretched to 12 games. Patrick Higgins dropped in 18 points in the winning effort.

LEAP ACADEMY 49 COLUMBUS >> The Greyhounds (4-6) snapped a three-game losing skid and got a team-high 12 points from Aaron Osborne. Marcus Gaffney added 11 points and Gerald Dougan scored 10 in the win.
