Hunting in the park

-

I noticed last Saturday I was driving by Mercer County Park, there were a bunch of protesters holding signs that said “Don’t kill the deer do not use bows and arrows.” If the park commission makes it legal to hunt in the park with a bow and arrow, I think the park commission is nothing but a bunch of idiots and a joke. I hope they privatize them one day. They’re not good at making good decisions.

There are non-lethal methods to control the deer population, but those take time to implement. The hunts could be phased out over time if those are used, but if they just cut off the hunts, then the deer population would just explode around here. Deer would die of starvation and getting hit by cars instead of being hunted and used for meat. I’m an animal rights supporter and would rather see hunters than factory farms if people have to eat meat.
