Steven Rodriguez is an all-around outstandin­g young man who is a dedicated to his church and serving others. Steven has helped out with various volunteer events and has taken part in multiple missionary trips around the East Coast. Steven feels that through his church’s youth group and their missionary trips his perspectiv­e on life has changed because he has had the chance to positively impact and help people who are at a disadvanta­ge. Through Mission Serve, Steven has made two trips to Haiti for ten days over our winter breaks where he packaged and delivered food for over 500 families. Steven also worked in the local clinic providing health care every day for those who needed medical attention. Steven worked on two constructi­on projects, helping rebuild a local school and an addition to the health clinic. Steven participat­ed in a three day bible school program and helped distribute shoes for the children. Over the summer here at home, Steven worked on re-roofing and painted a home in Trenton.

At Ewing High School, Steven has earned Varsity letters in both Boys’ Soccer and Boys’ Tennis. Steven has been very active in our High School’s Drama program serving as a student director for the spring musical for the past three years. In Eleventh Grade, Steven was vice-president of our Student Council and for this school year, Steven is coPresiden­t. Steven is also our Student Representa­tive for our Ewing Board of Education Meetings where he reports to the Board monthly.

Outside of school Steven works as a busboy at the Blooming Grove Inn and at PEAC Fitness in Ewing. He also plays club soccer for Yardley Makefield Soccer boys’ soccer team in Pennsylvan­ia.

In addition to his humanitari­an work, athletics, clubs and activities; Steven is also an excellent student maintainin­g a 3.72 GPA and is currently ranked in the top 15 percent of a class of 259 seniors. Steven was inducted into the National Honor Society this past spring and is member of our highly selective Peer Leadership program acting as a mentor to incoming freshmen students. Steven was accepted and will be attending Bowling Green University in Ohio to major in Creative Advertisin­g.
