Neil Chopra is a motivated student who goes to Lawrence High School. Neil left the district and attended a private middle school, but came back as a freshman to Lawrence! Upon entry, Neil began taking rigorous courses in school starting freshman year with AP Calculus AB. Currently; he travels to Princeton University during the week to take an advanced course in number theory. Neil has maintained a balanced life throughout high school, leaving time to relax, hang out, work/volunteer, pursue school clubs, and play sports.

Academical­ly, Neil has been a star student all four years of high school: in all previous years, Neil had the highest GPA among his classmates. In addition, Neil received a perfect “36” on the ACT standardiz­ed exam. He aspires to pursue a career in medicine, with a current focus on emergency medicine or intensive care medicine.

In addition to exceeding expectatio­ns academical­ly, Neil was a cofounder of a ‘Game Design Club’ where he suggested writing a grant that was eventually approved for almost $10,000! Neil also holds officer positions in Chemistry Club and the National Honor Society, and leads club members well. Outside of school, Neil has been tutoring at a local Kumon center since his sophomore year. Neil is also a certified lifeguard and lifeguards at a local gym known as New Jersey Athletic Club. Lastly, Neil volunteers with Pennington First Aid Squad and responds to EMS calls.

For fun, Neil enjoys ping pong, running, and juggling. In his free time, Neil loves spending quality time with his family and friends, and listening to music: some of his favorite artists include NAV and Post Malone. Neil has high hopes for the future and wants to thank his family and friends for constant support!
