Michelle Muhammad of Nottingham High School
Michelle Muhammad is originally from Highland Park where she has been diligent about her studies. She started taking accelerated classes in elementary school, which naturally prepared her for honors and advanced placement courses in high school. Though she moved to Hamilton the summer prior to her junior year, she quickly assimilated to our school population and is ranked #1 out of 314 students. Her humble attitude and friendly nature has been the catalyst to her forming meaningful friendships and collaborations with her new classmates.
Michelle is actively involved in the Islamic faith. She has served in varying capacities at a local religious school, which includes admin assistant, teacher’s assistant, and school nurse. She has experience providing first aid, comfort, teaching lessons, facilitating fun activities, and collaborating with adults to optimize her care for the children. In her spare time, she has also volunteered at a free clinic and spent one summer shadowing a doctor who specializes in rheumatology.
The aforementioned experiences has developed Michelle’s passion for children and medicine. She desires to continue serving her community by pursuing a career in the medical/ health field.
