Felissah Boyer of Trenton Catholic Academy
This year’s highlight for outstanding community service is Felissah Boyer. Felissah is a graduating Senior student at Trenton Catholic Academy. Felissah is interested in pursuing a career in Business and Accounting. Felissah is highly involved in the activities of our school: She works as an Student Ambassador, participates on both the Student Council and Prom Committee and works as Teacher Assistant in the Junior Achievement program. She is also a strong athlete who currently plays on the TCA Tennis and Softball team and previously participated in the Track/Field team and Girls’ Basketball team. She has earned her service hours by acting as a helper in the Mercer Allies program and the Trenton Soup Kitchen and she previously performed on the TCA Choir. As if all of her participation and dedication was not outstanding enough, she is also a strong scholar who currently holds a 3.85 GPA. She recently applied to such schools as Berkley College, Catholic University (where she is in the running for the prestigious Bishop Joseph A. O’Connell Scholarship) etc.
Felissah is kind, motivated and focused. She always enters the room with a smile and a “can-do” attitude. Wheras students who attend TCA are required to earn 100 service hours for graduation, Felissah has earned much more than expected. Felissah has always been a sweet, happy and capable young girl, but she is now transforming into a strong and ambitious young woman. One of her goals is to give back to her home country of Haiti and helping the growth of the country. Additionally, she gives back continually in her own community. She has mastered the art of multitasking and excelling in the challenges she puts before herself. Felissah will be sorely missed when she graduates in May, but we are confident that the TCA mission of service-before-self will continue with Felissah and that Felissah will find a way to make her mark on the world.
