Water woes
Morning Ed. I never received notices in the mail about my water until the past two mayors have been in Trenton. I don’t understand why there was never a problem before. They should just turn the whole thing over to the department of environment protection before they kill us all out here. — A reader
Well, there seems to have been problems for a while, but these last two mayors have been following the laws about notifying customers. The problems at Trenton Water Works go back for a long time. Mayors come and go, but aging infrastructure and a department that is woefully understaffed will take a while to fix. I believe the new TWW director when he says
that progress is being made, but that it will all be incremental steps toward being at 100% on staffing, and being fully staffed and funding repairs will reduce or eliminate the violation letters that you’re getting.

Trail of Tears
I see The Trail of Tears is in
the news. They’re somehow trying to twist that around that Trump was insensitive because it used the word “Trail.” But the interesting thing about the Trail of Tears was that the supreme court ordered that the Cherokee could not be removed. But President Andrew Jackson ordered the military to remove them and the military followed orders and they were removed. So President
Trump can declare an emergency and close the border and just ignore the Supreme Court like Andrew Jackson and I don’t really see a problem with it.

Are you really referring to the Trail of Tears as a positive thing? WTF?
