Last Time Out: Rider lost to Siena, 59-57; Quinnipiac def. Iona, 66-65 Series History: Rider leads, 12-2 Background: Losers of four straight games and in a free-fall down the MAAC standings, the Broncs must stop the bleeding and sweep the season series from the Bobcats. Rider’s four losses in this skid are by a combined 14 points and four of them are by four points or less. Coach Kevin Baggett scoffed at the league’s scheduling, handing his team an eight-game in 18 days stretch, but a lot of that was born of frustration (the Broncs are 1-4 through the first five games).

Scouting Quinnipiac: The Bobcats have won two straight and beat Iona last time out when Cameron Young converted two free throws in the final second. Young is the frontrunner for MAAC Player of the Year, averaging 21.1 points per game. He’s also hitting at a 41.1 percent clip from beyond the arc. Quinnipiac jacks up a lot of 3-point tries, hoisting 28.2 per contest with 10.2 makes. According to KenPom, 42.8 percent of the Bobcats’ total offense comes from beyond the arc, which ranks third in the nation. Rider, conversely, struggles mightily from deep, connecting at a 27.2 percent clip in 12 MAAC contests. The Broncs were 1-for-16 in Sunday’s loss to Siena.
