cated caseloads follow the mayor around everywhere she goes.

Schirmer said she agrees with Henderson.

“We take them away so they can hold her water bottle and drive her around like a chauffer,” she said.

Henderson has made nearly two dozen requests over the last year and a half for documents pertaining to security detail expenses but has been stymied by the administration from obtaining that information.

Some of his records requests were denied because the township claimed disclosing the info could jeopardize the safety of the mayor or members of her detail.

The township’s response confused Henderson, who wasn’t looking to uncover the detail’s “security measures or surveillance techniques” cited by the township in its denial.

“It’s about money,” Henderson said. “I really got obsessed with it when I saw guys standing in the back of a club, top detectives, standing there for two hours as she pontificates about how great things are in Hamilton.”

The mayor’s security detail has been a hot and steamy topic in the township for years, and not just for financial reasons.

Rumors have persisted that Yaede was at one point romantically involved with a member of her security detail.

She allegedly filed a complaint against the police escort. Detective Len Gadsby,

when he refused to accompany her on a trip to San Francisco in 2015.

Yaede dismissed the charge as false and politically motivated.

The Republican mayor has also been dogged by allegations that she has used members of her detail to intimidate residents who have been critical of her leadership.
