Trenton

Attempted Swallowing: Lamont Williams, 40, was arrested by police patrolling on the 500block of Lamberton street due to a recent shooting. They were in the front of a home when they saw two men huddled together, allegedly engaged in a drug transactio­n. They were looking down at their hands when the boys in blue rolled up. Williams was holding a white bag with crackcocai­ne. Williams tried to swallow the bag but spit it back out. Williams was hit with drug charges and hindering. Another man, Jose Rodriguez-Rosario, 39, was arrested and hit with a loitering to buy drugs charge. Drug Sales: Leroy Washington, 28, was nabbed by street crime detectives who were in the area of Walnut and Hampton avenues giving extra attention to the area due to a rash of recent complaints of drug sales. The detectives saw a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo with heavily tinted windows and pulled it over. When the driver rolled down the window, the cops smelled pot. They removed the occupants and found Washington with crack cocaine during a pat down. He was arrested and charged with drug possession. He told cops that if they found any weed in the car, it was his. Cops confiscate­d $190, seized as suspected illegal proceeds, and a small amount of pot from car.

Aggravated Assault: Mary Ross, 52, and Robin Barkley, 51, were both hit with charges of aggravated assault and weapons offenses after they were picked up by the state cops. Police did not have any additional informatio­n about their arrests.

Montgomery Township

Be Blunt, Man: Nasson L. Harrington, 31, of Trenton, was arrested following a car stop on Route 206. Cops smelled the strong odor of raw marijuana during the stop and the car was searched. Police found a pot blunt in the center console. Harrington admitted it was his. He was arrested, charged and processed at police headquarte­rs. He was scheduled for a court date In municipal court.

Can’t Pay the Bail: Jose Kovacs Jr., 23, of Franklin, was arrested on outstandin­g warrants from Edison Municipal Court and North Brunswick Municipal Court. Kovacs was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by cops. He was unable to post the $1,500 bail for each warrant, and was turned over to North Brunswick Police. On Empty, Over The Limit: Cops were initially trying to help Candida Leonard, 39, of Hillsborou­gh, when she ran out of gas on Route 206, near Sunset Road. An officer stopped to offer assistance and found Leonard was drunk. Leonard failed standard field sobriety tests and arrested and charged with driving while intoxicate­d. Leonard refused to submit to a breath test and was issued several other motor vehicle violations. She is scheduled to appear in municipal court.

Northampto­n Township

Robbery and Warrants: Marcus Rosario was arrested and hit with multiple charges after cops responded to a call for help n the 200 block of Buck Road, in the Holland section of the township. The victim told cops that Rosario had snatched her keys by force and ran from the home before the cops arrived. Police learned Rosario had a warrant out for his arrest in addition to an abuse protection order brought against him. Cops spotted Rosario near Buck and Holland roads, and he ran into the wooded area off Chinquapin Road. After a short foot chase, police found Rosario across the creek hiding in sticker bushes. He was taken into custody and found with drug parapherna­lia. Rosario was arraigned on the bench warrant, the PFA order and charges of robbery, unauthoriz­ed use of a motor vehicle, flight to avoid apprehensi­on, harassment, and possession of drug parapherna­lia. He was remanded to Bucks County jail on $50,000 bail.
