Northern Burlington nails down BCSL Liberty title

The Northern Burlington wrestling team officially nailed down the BCSL Liberty Division title Wednesday night with a 52-12 romp over arch-rival Rancocas Valley.

Tyler Nevil got it started with a decision at 195 and this was followed by quick pins from Jule Dolci (220) and heavyweight Pat Evanko.

Cherokee won a thriller over sister-school Seneca when it rallied with wins in the last three weights to pull out a 31-27 victory.

Nicholas Aromando got the comeback started with a 5-2 decision at 113. From there, Brady Bimmer pinned at 120 and Evan Brown posted a match-clinching 5-2 decision at 126.

In other results from around the area, top-ranked North Hunterdon improved to 18-0 with a 67-6 win over Voorhees and Hunterdon Central hammered Sayreville, 47-24. Other Burlington County winners included Shawnee and Bordentown.
