Scouting Princeton: Mitch Henderson’s Tigers are 7-1 in the last eight games and have positioned themselves to challenge for the Ivy League title. To do that, they’ll need to beat a very good Yale team at home on Friday night. Three Princeton players average double figures in scoring, led by Jaelin Llewellyn at 14.3 points. Richard Aririguzoh gets 13.4 points and 8.2 rebounds. The Tigers are second in the Ivy in field goal percentage (46.9%) and three-point field goal percentage (34.7%). The Aririguzoh matchup against Paul Atkinson is the one to watch. These are two of the best players in the league, with many tipping Atkinson as the Player of the Year. Aririguzoh always rises to the occasion when challenged.

Scouting Yale: The aforementioned Atkinson is having a fabulous season, averaging 17.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and is shooting 64.3%. Even if Aririguzoh is able to cancel him out, James Jones’ side has other weapons. Azar Swain must be checked as soon as he walks into the gym. The sharpshooter connects at a 37.8% rate from beyond the arc and averages 16.4 points. He has taken 180 of his 286 field goal attempts (62.9%) from 3.

Scouting Brown: The Bears got a sweep of Dartmouth and Harvard last weekend to vault themselves into topfour contention. If they can back that up with at least a split this weekend at Penn and Princeton, coach Mike Martin should feel pretty good about where his team stands. Senior guard Brandon Anderson, a Mahwah native, ranks third in the conference with 17.9 points. Tamenang Choh is coming off Ivy Player of the Week honors after connecting on the game-winning three-point play to beat Harvard. He posted his seventh double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds vs. Dartmouth.
