John Frederick Randow II
Riverton, NJ–John Frederick Randow II of Riverton, NJ passed away Monday June 29, 2020, at the Riverview Estate Assisted Living Nursing Home in Riverton, New Jersey.
Mr. Randow was born in Trenton, NJ on September 29, 1935 to John F Randow I and Theresa Randow. He attended St. Anthony’s Grammar School and Trenton Catholic High School in Trenton. Mr. Randow worked most of his career as a truck driver. He drove for Railway Express Agency (REA), Union Camp and Penske Logistics (contractor for Kmart). After 30+ years driving a tractor trailer, Mr. Randow worked for Mercer County T.R.A.D.E as a driver, providing non-emergency transportation to residents of Mercer County who are elderly and to people with disabilities.
Mr. Randow and his late wife Lottie E. Randow, retired to Senate Manor Estates located in Port Richey, FL where he was an active member of his retirement community who’s residents fondly called him “The Mayor” as he was always available to help his friends and family. An avid sports fan and an avid golfer, Mr. Randow even had a hole-in-one to his credit. Mr. Randow moved into Riverview Estates in July of 2017 where he was loved and respected by residents and staff who lovingly called him “The President”.
Predeceased by his wife, Lottie E. Randow, his father John F. Randow I,his mother Theresa (Hoffman) Randow, brothers Sgt. Maj. Joseph T. Randow, USMC and Timothy Randow and his sister Frances Randow. He is survived by sons, J. Fred Randow of Princeton, NJ; Alex G. Randow (Annette Moody) of Park Ridge, IL, and Patrick S. Randow of Burlington, NJ; his grandchildren, Abigail M. Randow, and Crawford, Kent, Shelby and Mollie Miller, all of Princeton, NJ. He is also survived by his sisters Sr. Paula M. Randow OSF of Willingboro, NJ and Theresa (Edward) Rupprecht of Yardley, PA. as well as several nieces and nephews.
On Wednesday July 8, 2020, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. for both John Frederick and Timothy Randow at Corpus Christi Church, 11 South Sunset Road, Willingboro, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Trenton, NJ.
