Stabbing and Creepy Encounter: Will Quinones-Quiles, 29, was arrested in connection with a stabbing last month on Beatty Street behind the Hub Liquor Store. Quinones-Quiles rode up on a bike and stabbed the victim. The stabbing stemmed from a prior dispute earlier June 21 in which Quinones-Quiles said he was parked in front of Hub Liquor when a group approached and attacked him. A woman allegedly tased him in his rib cage. Later in the day, Quinones-Quiles stabbed someone who was allegedly involved in his assault. In a separate incident, he was charged with lewdness, burglary, harassment and child endangerme­nt over something that happened this month on the 300 block of Market Street. A woman was at her apartment with her 2-year-old, when her neighbor Quinones-Quiles banged on her door and asked if her boyfriend was around. Then he walked into her home and asked if she needed work done on her apartment. He appeared to be drunk and told the woman he was having trouble buttoning his pants. QuinonesQu­iles wasn’t wearing underwear and his genitals were exposed to the woman as she held her her daughter. QuinonesQu­iles caressed the woman’s face and hair and tried to kiss her. The victim told him to leave.

Don’t Run with Knives: Octavious Covington, 34, was charged with a June 22 assault on Jackson Street. He is accused of pulling out a pocket knife and chasing the victim around while attempting to stab him and threatenin­g to kill him. Covington punched the victim a couple times. Police put up a wanted poster at headquarte­rs and detectives put warrants out for him. He had pot on him when he was taken into custody.

Stealing His Child: Dwayne Samuels, 38, was charged with burglary and endangerin­g the welfare of a child. Officers responded to take a missing child report. Samuels’ baby mom asked him to watch their child while she went out to cut hair but he refused. He came over to her home and banged on the door. The mom didn’t answer, noticed an open window and learned the 2-year-old was no longer in the home. Samuels pulled up in the home with the child in the back seat unrestrain­ed. He also had an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. He was also issued motor-vehicle tickets.

Drug Pop: Nyaire Wolfe, 26, was charged with drug offenses. His vehicle was double parked on the 400 block of Garfield Avenue. Cops conducted a car stop and saw drugs in the vehicle, seizing crack cocaine and heroin, along with $249 in suspected drug proceeds.

Drugs: Rayshaun Marshall, 19, was arrested after cops found him with promethazi­ne during a car stop.

Burning: Dana Harris, 39, was charged in connection with a June 24 aggravated arson on the Coolidge Avenue. The godfather told the woman her window was on fire. She suspected Harris of starting it. The woman had a restrainin­g order against Harris, who was charged with aggravated arson, endangerin­g the welfare of a child and contempt. The family put out the blaze and no one was injured.

Domestic Violence: Deshawn Abner, 30, was charged with domestic violence after cops responded to the first block of Bond Street. Abner strangled and hit a woman during an argument.

Firefight: A man was stabbed on the 200 block of Ferry Street during a Fourth of July party. He set off fireworks inside the house, argued and stabbed the home owner for getting angry that he lit fireworks inside the home. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatenin­g injuries.

Shootings: Police responded to separate shootings on July 4 and July 5. The first happened around 10:30 p.m. on the 800 block of East State Street. A man was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. The Shooting Response Team is investigat­ing. Then on July 5, a victim was shot in the leg on the first block of Astbury Street. No one has been arrested in either crime as the investigat­ions continue.
