Samantha Schattin has been off to a great start at the plate for Stevens softball.

Coming off a perfect 4-0 week for the Ducks where the former West Windsor-Plainsboro South star was 7-for-11, Schattin was named the MAC Freedom Conference Player of the Week.

This season Schattin is batting .540 and she has hit safely in her last 11 games.

In a doubleheader sweep of FDU-Florham, Schattin was 2-for-3 in each game with an RBI double in the second game.

Schattin is first in the conference in hits, second in batting average, third in slugging, third in on-base percentage, second in runs scored and second in doubles.

Now a grad student, Schattin was the 2019 Empire 8 Player of the Year and it looks like she’ll be making a run at the MAC Player of the Year.

Stevens is 11-5 on the season and has won four straight.
