PRINCETON TWP. >> In a battle of undefeated Mercer County prep powers, Lawrenceville defeated Hun, 4-0, Wednesday behind a stellar pitching performance by Sarah Zimmerman.
A hard throwing sophomore from Lacey Township, Zimmerman shut down Hun with a two-hitter and an impressive 17 strikeouts.
All the scoring came in the top of the third. After the first run crossed home plate on a walk by Hun starter Jamie Staub (nine strikeouts), Jasmine Bright laced a three-run double to right center.
