Joseph T. Fazekas, 87, of Bordentown, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident, residing in Bordentown for the past 20 years.

Joe was an honorably discharged US Navy Veteran having served during the Korean War. He was Owner-Operator of Tastykake Inc. for 15 years. He enjoyed visiting with friends, sports and was an avid Yankees fan. In his younger years he enjoyed trips to Liberty Bell Racetrack.

Predecease­d by his parents, John and Helen (Szkiba) Fazekas, and his 4 siblings, John, Pete, Charles and Helen, and late sister-in-law, Eileen; he is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Gloria (Seitz) Fazekas; his 3 children, Joseph C. Fazekas and wife Dianna Fazekas, Jeff Fazekas, Tricia Bannister DeRasmo and husband Len DeRasmo; 5 grandchild­ren, Lauren and Nikki Fazekas, John Bannister, and Claudia and Cory DeRasmo; and a special friend Fran Lemos; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and relatives.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, from 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.

A prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
