Lucia (Edwards) Houx
Lucia (Edwards) Houx, 66. “Luci” passed peacefully on December 5, 2021 at Capital Health Care Center in Trenton. Luci was born in Chicopee Falls, MA. As an infant, she moved with her family to Hamilton Square where she became a lifelong resident. She is pre-deceased by her mother, Anna Edwards of Hamilton Square, her father John T Edwards, Jr of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and former husband Foster
Waddell of Crosswicks. She is survived by her loving husband David Houx of Hamilton Square, daughter Sara Waddell of New Egypt, step daughter Bradi Houx of Hamilton, brother Joseph and Donna Edwards of Millstone, sister Maria and John Buckman of Morrisville, PA, brother James Edwards of Morrisville, PA, sister Patricia Ball of Cypress, CA, 9 nieces and nephews, 12 grand nieces and nephews and numerous surrogate daughters. Luci was a 1973 graduate of Steinert High School, where she was the student producer for theatrical productions. She worked at Westminster Choir College in Princeton
and The US Post Office in Robbinsville. As a child, Luci learned about gardening and Italian cooking while spending summers in Massachusetts with her grandmother Lucy. She pursued and perfected these skills throughout her life. She was an animal lover who always had pet dogs and cats. She was particularly fond of pets Deacon, Sebastian and Golgi. Luci was a lifelong parishioner at St Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church in Hamilton Square. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Luci’s life at North Veteran’s Park Pavilion in Hamilton between the hours of 1 and 4 pm on Sunday, May 22, 2022.
