Pascarella, D’Imperio have big years for TCNJ women’s soccer
It was an amazing year for Emma Pascarella and Victoria D’Imperio on the pitch at The College of New Jersey and the accolades are continuing.
Pascarella, who played at Allentown, and D’Imperio, who played at Northern Burlington, were recently named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region team.
Pascarella was the New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and an All-NJAC first team selection. She tallied 11 goals and had a team-high and conference-best 11 assists.
Pascarella, a senior, was named to the All-Region First team and D’Imperio was named to the Third Team.
D’Imperio, a sophomore, also was an All-NJAC first team selection and led the Lions in goals with 13, which was second best in the conference.
The former Northern Burlington star was second in the conference with four game-winning goals.
Barbara Leading Arkansas in Elite Eight
Grace Barbara (Princeton Day) came up big in the shootout to lead Arkansas to a win over Memphis sending the Razorbacks to the Elite Eight where they will meet defending champion Florida State.
Barbara, who has an 0.72 goals against average, is a grad student at Arkansas after a great career at Princeton University.
Lebotesis, Collins and Gentile in National Championship Game
Deanna Lebotesis (Neshaminy), Kelli Collins (Pennington) and Olivia Gentile (Pennsbury) will be in the lineup when West Chester faces Western Washington in the Division II Women’s Soccer national championship game.
Lebotesis, a captain, has started 23 games for the Rams, Collins has two goals and an assist and Gentile has one goal and one assist for 230-1 West Chester.
Lad Wins National Championship
Vedang Lad (WW-P North) was a member of the MIT Cross Country team that won the Division III national championship.
Lad finished with a time of 25:39.3 in the final race as he was the sixth Engineer to cross the finish line.
It was the first NCAA national championship for MIT.
Wu Diver of the Week
Michael Wu (WW-P North) was named the
TCNJ’s Emma Pascarella (20) was the NJAC Offensive Player of the Year and an All-NJAC first team selection.
NJAC Diver of the Week after The College of New Jersey sophomore placed second on 3-Meter and sixth on 1-Meter at the USMMA Memorial Invite.
Wu hit the regional qualifying standard for the second time this season and has officially qualified for the NCAA Regional Meet.
He owns the second highest score in the NJAC on 3-Meter this season.
